ABOUT THIS POSITION

  • As my virtual assistant, you will be responsible for many of the day-to-day operations of the business.
  • For the time being, this is a part-time position. Exact hours will vary, but assume roughly 16 hours per week.
  • Completely remote. Work from home.
  • Choose your own working hours.
  • Work from anywhere in the world - no required time zone or location.
  • Do something you love. Every day, you will be communicating with passionate musicians and audio enthusiasts.

SALARY

  • Starting salary of $15 per hour.
  • After a one month trial, a monthly salary will be set once we have an idea of workload and your skill level.
  • You will also receive a small percentage of all revenues from the business.

TRAINING

  • Access to all premium Musician on a Mission training products.
  • Additional paid training to help you to expand your skills, whether related to music, audio, customer support or marketing.

GROWTH

  • A full-time virtual assistant role, expanding on your current responsibilities and skills.
  • Or a part-time operations/management role (depending on your skills and how quickly you learn).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Customer support (spending 20 minutes a day responding to support requests)
  • Uploading YouTube videos
  • Uploading membership content (WordPress)
  • Email management
  • Documenting repetitive tasks
  • Communicating with freelancers


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Basic PR outreach
  • Monitoring analytics
  • Creating monthly reports
  • Finding content creators
  • Finding freelancers on Upwork
  • Collecting testimonials
  • Collecting feedback
  • Reporting issues to myself
  • Conducting and analyzing customer surveys
  • Note taking on calls
  • Proofreading articles and checking videos
  • Basic market research
  • Queueing articles and videos for the Facebook page
  • Other small administrative tasks

REQUIREMENTS

ZERO previous experience required. You will be trained to perform all of these tasks.

However, experience in the following areas will be beneficial (please mention in your application if you have experience in any of these areas, and be specific)

THE PERFECT CANDIDATE

  • I’m looking for somebody who is passionate about music and audio. Somebody who I will enjoy working with and shares my vision for the website.
  • Experience as a musician and engineer is hugely beneficial.
  • A good internet connection is essential (10mbps or more).
  • The ideal applicant is a musician who owns a home studio, and has paid experience as an engineer or musician.
  • If you are good enough to give music and mix feedback to customers, even better.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Native English speaker.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills (managing email, calendars, and tasks).
  • Problem-solving skills to resolve issues on the spot.
  • Ability to work independently. This is vital - you must be able to prioritize and complete tasks without constant monitoring.
  • Attention to detail. This is important for following instructions and avoiding mistakes. As a small test, please tell me your favorite artist in your application - I want to see if you read this whole page. 
  • Good initiative and a creative mindset. Thinking of new ways to solve problems and reduce inefficiencies in communication and task completion.
  • Most of all, you need a strong ability to follow detailed written instructions.
